RULES OF COMFORT

• Students should obtain a minimum of 75% attendance of all lectures delivered to be eligible to sit for the Internal Test and the External Examination. It is also compulsorily required that all Degree Semester students appear in all the internal tests.
• No student may remain absent from class for three consecutive days or more, unless he/she has the Principal’s written permission for such leave of absence.
• All students are expected to be regular and punctual for all lectures.
• The College and its faculty members strictly follow the Disciplinary and Examination rules and regulations of the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU).
• Students must pay fees in strict adherence to deadlines notified on the College notice board.
• Students are expected to be well-mannered both inside and outside the College premises. An atmosphere of friendliness and harmony shall be fostered and maintained.
• Students are expected to attend lectures in decent dress.
• College grounds and premises must be kept neat and clean.
• The College expects students to respect its teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as fellow students in the way that is due to them.
• It is prohibited to indulge in any kind of addiction suchlike – smoking, imbibing alcohol, chewing tobacco or betel nut and drugs. Violation of this rule may result in summary expulsion of the offender.
• Students shall not be allowed to create an anti-academic atmosphere of the college.
• No other organizations / associations except the Balawan College Student Welfare Association is recognized by the College.
• Students’ meetings shall not be conducted without the prior permission of the Principal.
• Use of mobile phones is prohibited in the classrooms. Even elsewhere, the use should not be a distraction to others. Respective Common rooms can be used for emergencies.
• Students are expected to be polite and cordial in their interactions and dealings with everyone in the Campus. Ragging is strictly prohibited.
