BALAWAN COLLEGE, UMSNING

The world is so big, like the ocean and we are a few drops here and there in that vast unending horizon. Life is full of life, competition is very high, survival of the fittest seems to be the rule of day and all are moving with the tide which becomes easier and more adjustable. Struggle is a gift of nature which prepares a human being for unforetold rough weather. Shiv Khera famous line ‘Winners never quit and quitters never win’ sound familiar to the ears. Every institution and person is a struggler and winner at heart and Balawan College is one of them and the struggle goes on to climb every step possible.

Knowledge is so vast and complicated that students in the outskirt of cities take time to cope. All are not born with the talents and means to live in cities and towns. A selected few will have that opportunity. But a vast majority needs to bloom in their own surrounding with the eyes lifted upward to the end of the sky. One day the dreams will be fulfilled. Balawan College aims to provide knowledge, creativity and an atmosphere of freedom where the students grow responsibly with love and respect to one and all.

Co-operation and respect are a lifeline of any family and institution. Balawan College recognizes the importance of professional ethics of the Teaching Faculty and the non-teaching staff especially in dealing with the younger brothers and sisters of the institution. We try out best to create a better educational atmosphere. Parents have a great role to play for the welfare of their own child; educational institution alone will not suffice the aspiration of the young. Students learn better in an atmosphere of freedom where they realize that learning is theirs and meant for themselves. Learning is not meant for the principal, teachers, parents or any other but for oneself for better future.

Balawan College aims at all round development of body, mind and spirit (Gandhi). Physical health, mental health and spiritual health are balanced in the College. That is the reason for physical exercises like sports and games, college week celebration etc. Co-curricular activities, moral science and yoga are some of the means to attain this all-round development. The surroundings of Balawan College is conducive to learning and environment friendly with lots of greenery around.
